Enough for a first Eastern week. Not Morse Mountain.

Details still soft relative to Smugglers' Treasures. Unverified hours and visitor rules beyond the brochure.

  • Affordability 15%6/10

Researched ballpark on a good exchange-rate week is not a quote. Ikon days plus village lodging is the real bill.

  • On-mountain 10%8/10

A pedestrian village that works after 3:30. That is the Canadian cheat code for East Coast families.

  • Non-ski 10%8/10

Village stroll, a lake, a border-trip story. Easier first international than Banff.

  • Travel 5%6/10

YUL plus 90 minutes, or a 4–5.5 hour drive from much of the Northeast. Passport. Winter tires in Québec are not a suggestion.

Our take

Canada is in scope. Tremblant is the easiest international trip for an East Coast family, and it is competitive with a Vermont week on cost when the dollar behaves. I would not skip Smugglers' for it if I had a toddler and a Treasures reservation. I would look at it hard if I already owned Ikon and wanted a village.

Perfect if

  • East Coast Ikon families who will use a passport and a village.
  • Kids Ski Free Week — 12 and under, dates change, confirm them.
  • A family that would otherwise do a Vermont luxury week.

Skip if

  • Assuming every week is the free week.
  • Assuming no one needs a passport.
  • A toddler week that should have been Smugglers' Treasures.

Biggest tradeoffThe easiest international village for an East Coast family — Eastern snow, a border, and care details still softer than Smugglers'.

Ski school deep dive

Beginner terrain

  • Carpets: Village side.
  • Learning area: Compact and busy in peak weeks.
  • Greens: Enough for a first Eastern week.
  • Progression: South Side cruisers, then the rest if they can handle ice.

On mountain

Village is the meal. Exchange rate helps.

Ski-in village if you pay for it.

The most European pedestrian village in this database. Strollers, gelato, a fake-but-functional cobblestone core.

Non-ski

  • Pedestrian village
  • Spa / indoor pools at many hotels
  • Lac Tremblant

Getting there

Montréal (YUL). Transfer: About 90 minutes. Drivable from the Northeast in 4–5.5 hours from many cities. Passport. Winter tires in Québec are not a suggestion. YUL transfers are a common package. Driving from New England is the other pattern.

Family of 4 / day (2 adults, 2 kids: lifts + rentals + 1 group lesson)
Researched ballpark ~$350 USD in lift math on a good exchange-rate week — not a quote. Ikon days plus village lodging is the real bill.
Pass
Ikon. Kids Ski Free Week is a date-specific product, not every day of the winter.

What six days on snow costs

Family of four: window tickets × 6, rentals × 6, one 3-day kids' lesson block. Not a week — lodging isn't in our data, so it isn't in this number.

This page doesn't have dollar ranges we can add. We will not invent a six-day total.
