What this site is
Reviews, scores, ski-school notes, guides, and planning tools. Personal reviews are labeled Personal. Everything else is labeled Researched. Prices, ages, hours, and pass rules change — call the mountain before you put a deposit down.
What this site is not
- A ticket, lodging, or lesson reservation.
- A promise that a Family Score will match your week.
- Insurance, legal advice, or medical advice (altitude, injuries, childcare licenses).
- A substitute for ski school’s own waiver and pickup rules. Ask a ski dad is a helper on top of our notes, not a certified instructor.
Accounts
Sign-in is optional. It exists so you can save packing lists and finder shortlists. Do not abuse the tools, scrape the database, or pretend to be us. We can close an account that is being used to spam or impersonate. See the privacy policy for what we store.
Accuracy
We try to be careful. We still get things wrong — a ski-school minimum age moves, a carpet closes, a cafeteria stops serving fries. If we did, tell us. Content is provided as-is. We are not liable for a missed lesson, a sold-out Saturday, or a trip that did not match the brochure in your head.
Links
Outbound links (resorts, pass companies, gear, shipping) are other people’s sites. Their terms apply the moment you leave. Paid or affiliate links, when they exist, are described on the affiliate disclosure.
Your content
Questions you type into Ask a ski dad, and lists you save, are yours in the sense that they are about your trip. We can use anonymized patterns (how many people ask about age 4 at Alta) to improve the notes. We will not publish your name next to a question.
Governing law
These terms follow the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without a fight about where you happened to open the laptop. If a court knocks out one sentence, the rest still stands.
