- Beginner terrain 20%7/10
Enough for a first weekend. Made snow. Honest about what it is.
- Childcare & kids programs 15%3/10
No visitor daycare on the resort site — the indoor waterpark is the rest-day product, not a crib.
- Affordability 15%8/10
Hotel + waterpark is the bill. Lifts are not Vail. 5 and under free.
- On-mountain 10%7/10
Small, lit, close. Night skiing is the local product.
- Non-ski 10%9/10
Indoor waterpark backup. That is why families book this instead of a 'real' mountain.
- Travel 5%9/10
The Poconos weekend from NYC/Philly. Friday traffic is the sport.
Our take
This is a trip type, not a mountain comparison with Deer Valley. If you live in the metro and you have a 6-year-old plus a 3-year-old who will only do the waterpark, Camelback is honest. I would not fly here.
Perfect if
- A first weekend with indoor backup.
- Kids 5 and under on free tickets.
- A drive-to from NYC or Philly who will not pretend this is Vermont.
Skip if
- Expecting Western snow.
- Expecting daycare.
- A destination week that needed Okemo or Smugglers'.
Biggest tradeoffWaterpark plus a small lit hill an hour from the megalopolis — made snow, no daycare, unpublished lessons.

What six days on snow costs
Family of four: window tickets × 6, rentals × 6, one 3-day kids' lesson block. Not a week — lodging isn't in our data, so it isn't in this number.
This page doesn't have dollar ranges we can add. We will not invent a six-day total.
This mountain is on the 26/27 kids-ski-free list — read the cutoff before you plan a week around it. Kids ski free: the list and the fine print.
