| Family of 4 / day | Ikon, or it will feel like a luxury independent. 4-and-under around $10 is the researched child-ticket note — confirm this season. | Epic. Weekend pricing energy. |
Family of 4 / day is lifts + rentals + one group lesson as published on each resort page — not a quote. Lodging we do not have stays blank. We do not invent a number to fill a cell.
Choose Stratton Mountain if
Ikon families with an infant or preschooler who can confirm the nursery.
- A Southern Vermont week, not a day trip squeezed around nap math.
- Kids who will ski greens and blues, not a park scene.
Choose Mount Snow if
Epic weekend families with an 18-month–4-year-old, dates matching the nursery.
- A Friday–Monday window if you need care.
- Older kids who will use the parks.
The tradeoff
Stratton publishes a 4-STAR nursery from 6 weeks (visitors: Yes) and 40% beginner terrain. Mount Snow publishes licensed care for 18 months–4 years that runs Friday–Monday only, and 16% beginner. If you need Wednesday nursery, Mount Snow is not the mountain. If you already hold Epic, Stratton is the wrong pass. Vermont ice is the season on both.
