- Ikon, and a week, not a weekend dash from DEN.

The tradeoff
Steamboat is the full-service kids' program (group from 2, 6-kid cap) attached to a town at 6,900 feet, and a harder inbound than I-70. Family-of-4 $800–$1,200. Winter Park is Denver without I-70, licensed care from about two months, 9,000 feet, group from 3, and a beginner share that lives in one park. If you wanted a town and the Vacation Center, it is Steamboat. If you wanted the airport without the mountain drive, it is Winter Park.
