Powder Mountain’s free kids season pass is real. The mountain still isn’t a family destination.

Up to two free kids season passes with an adult Unlimited for 26/27. Beginner terrain and daycare are not why you’d go.

Powder Mountain is advertising a free kids season pass (up to two) with an adult Unlimited for 2026–27. If you already ski Eden / Ogden Valley and your kids can handle a mountain that is not a learning campus, that is a legitimate local deal. We are not building a full resort profile. Family Score research landed at 4.2: thin beginner terrain, no daycare, a product aimed at people who already ski. A free pass does not fix a magic-carpet gap.

What we would do instead

If the hook is 'kids ski free in Utah,' read the kids-ski-free guide and look at Snowbasin (low base, SLC day trip) or Brighton (night skiing, actual greens) before you plan a week around Powder. If you live in Ogden and the pass is sitting there, take it. Do not fly a first-timer here because a headline said free.
